I thought this enterprising move by a football club was unusual – but it isn’t! There are already cemeteries attached to European Football Clubs, including Hamburg. Who knew?! Not me!
Funeral flowers come in all shapes and designs
As far as I know, there are none so far in UK, but there are plenty of requests at all clubs for scattering of ashes on the pitch, behind the goalposts, etc. Whilst this is permissible in UK and therefore up to clubs to agree or not; in many other countries, scattering of ashes is not allowed in law.
With churchyards increasingly putting up the ‘Sorry – We’re Full’ signs – could this be the way of the future in the UK? ….
